Cowboys-Giants Flexed To Sunday Night

The game will be played on NBC5 Sunday night.

It was announced this weekend that the Dallas Cowboys will play a sixth prime time game in their 2011 campaign, as their NFC East-deciding match-up with the New York Giants had been flexed to NBC’s Sunday Night Football. A game you can watch on NBC5.

The reasons for the move are obvious, of course--Two teams, a pretty heated rivalry and just one playoff spot between them--that sounds like good television.

Granted, Dallas has had a bad history with Sunday night games of late. They’ve lost their last six games on Sunday nights, including three this season--two (against the Jets and Giants) that saw Dallas give up a substantial lead in the fourth quarter, and one (against the Eagles) that was a nasty blowout.
