Cowboys Finalize Joint-Practice Plans with Rams

The Cowboys will practice against the Rams for a couple of days in mid-August

After months of the idea being out there, the Dallas Cowboys have finalized plans to hold a series of joint practices with the St. Louis Rams during training camp in August in Oxnard, CA, Mike Fisher of FOX Sports Southwest reports.

The Cowboys are scheduled to leave for Oxnard on July 28, and return a month later on August 28. Their practices with the Rams will take place between the Cowboys’ first and second preseason games, on August 17 and 18.

Of course, these joint practices have become something of a tradition for the Cowboys.

In the past they’ve worked out with both the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders. Last year’s scrimmages with the Raiders were easily the most exciting part of training camp, as they provided a huge fight between the Raiders offense and the Cowboys defense, started by a hard tackle by cornerback Morris Claiborne.
