Cowboys, DMA Team Up For Joint Art Experience

As a part of the Dallas Cowboys Art Program, the Dallas Cowboys have teamed with the Dallas Museum of Art to offer what they’re calling a “one of a kind art experience” to fans, with a combination tour ticket that includes a tour of Cowboys Stadium as well as the DMA, which on Monday opened its new exhibition, “Big New Field: Artists in the Cowboys Stadium Art Program.”

The new exhibit features 20 some odd works by artists commissioned for pieces at JerryWorld, a list that includes world-renowned names such as Franz Ackermann, Olafur Eliasson, Daniel Buren and Annette Lawrence. It opened on Monday and will be on display through February 20 of 2011.

Tours of Cowboys Stadium will be docent guided and will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 9 AM, 11 AM and 2 PM; DMA tours are self-guided, and available anytime during the museum’s regular operating hours. Tickets are $16 per person.
