Cowboys Cut S Micah Pellerin

Pellerin was cut in order to make room for Orie Lemon

The Dallas Cowboys released safety Micah Pellerin in order to make room for linebacker Orie Lemon, who was signed off the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad on Thursday, according to Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News.

As you might guess, this isn’t the biggest loss for Dallas. Pellerin played in two games for the Cowboys and recorded one tackle; he also allowed four catches and a touchdown while being targeted four times. Pellerin made one tackle.

Of course, Lemon was signed to shore up the team’s banged up linebacking corps. Sean Lee and Justin Durant will miss Sunday’s match-up with the Giants with hamstring issues, and it’s looking like DeVonte Holloman could be held out, too, with a neck injury.
