Cowboys Cut FB Deon Anderson to Make Room for TE

The Dallas Cowboys cut injured fullback Deon Anderson Friday to make room for a third tight end, Scott Chandler, DallasCowboys.com blogger Nick Eatman reports.

Chandler is expected to be active for Sunday's game against the undefeated Houston Texans. Chanlder was previously on the Cowboys practice squad.

Anderson, who recently had knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus, will be placed on the waived/injured list, according to Eatman.

The departure of Anderson leaves Dallas with rookie Chris Gronkowski as the only fullback on the active roster. Gronkowski has been a big threat coming out of the backfield in the first two games. Last week vs. the Bears, Gronkowski had three receptions including a great grab for his first career touchdown.
