Cowboys Couldn't Hold Lacy, Now Get Ivory

Cowboys Couldn't Hold Lacy, Now Get Ivory
The Jets' Chris Ivory, right, is tackled by Miami Dolphins' Koa Misi during the NFL football game between the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins and at Wembley stadium in London on Sunday.

Last week, the Dallas Cowboys' defense stood tall for much of the second half before ultimately being worn down and then exposed by Eddie Lacy, who, when on, might be the most punishing running back in the league.

Now, on a short week, the Cowboys get to deal with another bruising back in the form of Jets runner Chris Ivory, who will very likely eclipse the 1,000-yard mark on the ground Saturday night at AT&T Stadium.

Lacy ran for 124 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries — much of that coming late in the game — and Ivory could be in for something similar.

At 6-0, 222 pounds, Ivory will punish the Cowboys defense if their offensive teammates can't help them more than they did against the Packers on Sunday. For the defense's sake, you hope they can, or it could be another long day at the office.
