Cowboys Considering Joint Practices with Raiders

Dallas and Oakland would practice together between Weeks One and Two of the preseason

The Dallas Cowboys are considering holding joint practices with the Oakland Raiders between their first and second preseason games of the year, according to reports.

This sort of thing is fairly standard for training camp.

The Cowboys last participated in joint workouts in 2012, with the Chargers, and they’ve held joint practices with the Raiders countless times in the past. Dallas also expressed interest in doing joint practices with the Dolphins between Weeks Two and Three of the preseason, but the Dolphins declined, as they wanted to prepare for the “dress rehearsal” game as though it were the regular season.

Dallas does not face the Raiders this preseason. The last time these two teams were on the field together was last Thanksgiving Day, when the Cowboys won 31-24 on the back of a three-touchdown performance by running back DeMarco Murray.
