Cowboys Nation Celebrates Playoff Advance

Energy from Cowboys fans filled AT&T Stadium in Arlington Sunday, their roar was like a rumbling storm passing through Arlington. This is their moment in victory. A moment that many did not predict 18 weeks ago.

"At the beginning of the season we didn’t know how good they were going to be,” said Dallas Police Officer Daniel Arrivillaga. “As you can tell from the crowd, they should be OK.”

But Sunday’s Wild Card matchup against the Detroit Lion's started off rocky.

“It was very scary at first,” said 10-year-old Cowboy’s fan Alfonso Garcia.

But a second-half surge had fans on their feet, even one who traveled from Australia to see the Cowboys get their first playoff win since 2009.

“It’s insane mate,” said Ricky Stewart.

Within the sea of Cowboys fans there were some Detroit fans peppered in the crowd.

“That was a good game,” said one Lions fan.

It was game that not only brought back hope, but a real chance the Cowboys will add another championship win to the history books.

“We're going all the way,” said Cowboys fan Gracie Cook.
