Cowboys Bring In K Shayne Graham

In their ongoing efforts to solve the kicking situation on Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys signed 33-year-old veteran Shayne Graham.

Graham was cut by the Washington Redskins after missing two field goals, of 29 and 49 yards, in the team’s preseason opener. He was a perfect 12-for-12 last season with the New England Patriots, and has made 86 percent of all career attempts.

Taking over Roy Williams’ old jersey no. 11, Graham will compete in Dallas with the motley crew of David Buehler (who’s out with a hip injury), and rookies Dan Bailey and Kai Forbath (who has been out, and on the non-football injury list with a quad issue) since being signed on August 2).

It is unclear when Buehler will return, though, unless something has changed without our knowing, he remains the frontrunner in the battle.
