Cowboys Anticipate No Issues In Getting Rookies Signed

The Cowboys will take their time when it comes to the rookie contracts

The Dallas Cowboys always seem to take their time getting their rookies signed, and this year may be no different, but executive vice president Stephen Jones said this week that the team is anticipating no issues in getting the group signed.

Of course, the presence of the rookie pay scale has simplified matters to some degree.

"Those things aren't that difficult," Jones said, per the Dallas Morning News. "They're going to get done. We wanted to take a look at how things are going this year. There's been a few little changes, details of the contracts that probably don't mean a lot to anybody other than us. We just wanted to see how a lot of teams are doing them, felt like this might be a year where we slow down a little bit, see how everybody's doing their contracts. Then make a few notes and we'll get these guys signed.

"But we won't have any issues. They're all great guys represented by really good people and we'll get them done."
