Cowboys Add Lionel Vital as Senior Personnel Executive

Vital spent the last three seasons as the Falcons' director of player personnel

The Dallas Cowboys have had a hard time bringing free agent players into the fold in the last week, but on Tuesday, they got themselves a highly regarded personnel guy.

According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, the Cowboys added Lionel Vital to the front office under the title of senior personnel executive. He will report to the highest-ranking member of the front office not named Jones, senior director of college/pro personnel Will McClay, and work on the college side of things.

Vital spent the past three seasons as the Atlanta Falcons’ director of player personnel. He has worked as a scout for the Ravens, Patriots, Jets and Browns.
