Cowboys Add Former SMU LB Taylor Reed

Dallas cut defensive end Hall Davis to make room for Reed

In dire need of linebacker help, the Dallas Cowboys signed SMU product Taylor Reed on Monday, cutting defensive end Hall David in order to make room for him on the roster.

Reed was among the Cowboys final cuts back in training camp.

Both Sean Lee and Justin Durant will miss 3-4 weeks with hamstring issues, and the Cowboys have been exploring every option to make it over the hump, including toying with the idea of moving Kyle Wilber back to linebacker from defensive end.
