Could Cowboys Draft Another O-Lineman in 1st Round?

The Cowboys have drafted offensive linemen in the first round of three of the last four drafts

The Dallas Cowboys have drafted an offensive lineman in the first round of the draft in three of the last four years and, according to owner and general manager Jerry Jones, they might make it four of five when the 2015 Draft opens on April 30.

It certainly is [possible],” Jones said over the weekend, per the Dallas Morning News. “It certainly is.”

The line-heavy drafts have worked out nicely for the Cowboys. All three of the Cowboys’ first rounders along the offensive line — left tackle Tyron Smith in 2011, center Travis Frederick in 2013 and right guard Zack Martin in 2014 — were named to the Pro Bowl last season.

Going into the offseason, the Cowboys’ have some decisions to make at the right tackle position, where Doug Free and Jermey Parnell — both of whom saw starting time in 2014 — are headed for free agency.
