Choice Hopes To Play In Preseason Finale

Tashard Choice wants to play in the Cowboys’ preseason finale on Thursday night in Miami.

The problem is, Choice will most likely figure substantially into the team’s running back rotation--meaning that he, like most starters, will be held out for the most part, if not completely. The Georgia Tech product might not have a problem with this, if he had been healthy for the team’s first two exhibitions.

Choice believes he was only beginning to find his rhythm in the second half of the dress rehearsal game against Minnesota on Saturday, which served as his preseason debut, a performance that saw Choice take three carries for 14 yards.

"I don't know," Choice said, per the Dallas Morning News. "I doubt if I'll play. I don't know. We'll see. Whatever I get I am ready to go. I want to play because I want to get back into that rhythm because I was just getting my rhythm when I got a couple of runs in the second half."

However small his role on Saturday, Choice was just glad to return to action after missing most of training camp with a calf injury.

"It was good to be back out there," he said. "It was cool."
