“Carr Cares” Hosts First Football Camp

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr hosted his first ever camp and celebrity weekend for his foundation "Carr Cares" on Friday and Saturday.

The two-day event featured a celebrity VIP reception and celebrity softball game. But probably the highlight for most, was a free football camp held at Duncanville High School.

“I remember growing up and not having the opportunity to learn from and interact with professional athletes and coaches. Therefore, I wanted to allow football camp participants and fans attending the softball game to receive an opportunity that I never had while growing up,” said Carr.

Participants between the ages of 10 and 17 took part in football drills, including speed and agility training.

Carr himself was also an active participant in the camp.

"This is my passion, being around kids, helping the youth, just trying to shed a positive light on them," said Carr.

Participants also received an autographed photo of Carr and camp T-Shirt.
