Carr: Playing For Cowboys “A Rollercoaster”

Brandon Carr came to Dallas from Kansas City last offseason

At least in terms of media coverage and visibility as an NFL city, Dallas is a world away from Kansas City. So it’s understandable that cornerback Brandon Carr, who came to the Cowboys from the Chiefs in free agency last offseason, received something of a culture shock last year.

Carr told MLive.com last week that while he knew things would be different in North Texas, he couldn’t really anticipate just how different until he arrived last year, on the back of a five-year, $50 million deal.

It’s a rollercoaster playing for America’s Team,” Carr said. “You don’t know what to expect until you get inside those walls. The media frenzy is pretty much every day. The spotlight that is put upon us, each and every day, indoors and outside of football, but you know, it has been a blessing so far.

“I can’t complain about it at all. I worked hard to get to this high platform at this stage of my career. It is an absolute blessing to play for the Cowboys and represent their star.”
