Campbell To Remain in Miami

The Dallas Cowboys can cross former tight end Dan Campbell off the list of potential candidates for an assistant offensive line coach position.

Campbell instead will assume the role of tight ends coach for the Miami Dolphins in 2011, where he’s spent the past two seasons as an offensive assistant. He interviewed with Cowboys' head coach Jason Garrett two weeks ago, and last week with line coach Hudson Houck.

Campbell played for Dallas from 2003-2005 and, with Garrett, in New York before that.

Hall of fame guard Bruce Matthews appears to be the only man still in the running or the role of offensive line assistant. He has interviewed with Garrett and Houck as well, and is familiar with the latter from his college career at USC.
