Bryant's Jersey Selling, But Not Like Tebow's

Cowboys' first round draft pick Dez Bryant is already making a splash in Dallas and around the NFL landscape.

According to a report on Yahoo! Sports, Bryant's number 88 jersey is among the top five sellers among rookies, joining, among others, the Lions' Ndamukong Suh and the Rams' Sam Bradford. However, Bryant's ability to move replica jerseys is nowhere near that of Broncos' first rounder, Tim Tebow.

Then again, neither is anyone else.

"It’s a pretty substantial difference between him and the next guy," NFL spokeswoman Joanna Hunter said, per Yahoo! Sports.

Tebow is indeed miles ahead of his competition--insofar as jersey sales are concerned, anyway--and he's already shattered the record set by Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets, last year. As is pointed out in the initial report, Tebow's astronomic jersey sales were fairly predictable.

The former Florida Gator was, for good or ill, the most talked about prospect in this year's draft. Whether he'll pan out, then, is another story altogether.
