Bryant: “One Drop Is Too Many”

Dez Bryant had two catches for 13 yards in Sunday night’s preseason loss to the San Diego Chargers, but he also dropped what would have been a sure first down on the Cowboys’ opening drive--a pass that hit Bryant’s hands before dropping to the turf.

It was a memorable drop, as far as a preseason game goes, and it didn’t take long for Bryant to address the misstep after the game, via Twitter: “I knew my fans was going to give it to me about the drop I can accept that lol....I was a little to damn anxious....I will make up for it,” Bryant Tweeted.

Later, Bryant expanded on the drop to reporters, admitting that on the pass, he put the horse in front of the cart a bit.

“I took my eye off the ball and I shouldn’t have,” he said, per ESPN Dallas. “That’s a little mind mistake. That can be fixed. That’s not me. I’m glad it’s preseason. I’m glad it doesn’t really count. My standards are very high about catching the football. One drop is too many.”
