Brian Waters Unsure if He'll Return in 2014

The veteran guard is out for the season with a torn triceps

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said shortly after veteran guard Brian Waters went down for the season with a torn triceps that the team would be more than open to bringing Waters back in 2014.

Waters, however, hasn’t decided if he’ll be back.

I haven’t thought about it, man,” Waters said, per the Dallas Morning News. “I’m just trying to make it through this particular phase of the process and make a decision whether to have surgery or not.”

Waters is reportedly leaning toward undergoing surgery on the triceps, a procedure that requires 3-4 months of recovery. After that, Waters said he’d need another month to get back into shape--if he was going to return to football, that is.

“I have an intense passion and love for the game,” Waters said. “It’s hard to let go, but that’s also part of being smart, knowing when to let go. It’s definitely a tough decision for me.”
