Brandon Weeden Visiting Valley Ranch

Weeden was cut by the Cleveland Browns last Wednesday

With Kyle Orton’s future still unclear, the Dallas Cowboys are beginning to look at their options for a potential replacement on the free agent market.

According to reports, the Cowboys will host former Browns’ starter Brandon Weeden at Valley Ranch on Monday. Weeden was a first round pick out of Oklahoma State just two years ago, but Cleveland cut him last Wednesday. In two seasons, the Browns went 5-15 with Weeden at the helm. He threw for 23 touchdowns and 26 interceptions over that span.

The Cowboys have expressed their desire for Orton to return next year publicly, but since then, there have been no developments to suggest whether he’ll stay or go. Orton is still under contract with Dallas for another year, but he is reportedly considering walking away from the game for good.
