Bosa Believes He Can Make Immediate Impact for Cowboys

Joey Bosa is widely regarded as the best pass rusher in the draft class of 2016

Former Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa believes he can step in and make an immediate impact for the Dallas Cowboys, should America’s Team select him with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft Thursday night in Chicago.

"… It would be awesome to play for the Cowboys,” Bosa said, per the Dallas Morning News. "I feel like I fit in there really well just as I do in Jacksonville. They run a 4-3 and they're missing some D-linemen right now, so I feel like I can go in right away and have a good impact."

Like everyone else, Bosa is aware that Cowboys’ pass rushers Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence have been suspended for the first four games of 2016 for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. That dearth of pass rushers only figures to help his case going into the first round tonight.

"They're really the only team to that extent or that has two guys on suspension," Bosa said. "It's hard not to hear that and think about that only helps your case more. Who knows? Anything can happen."
