Bobby Carpenter Headed To Miami

After a short jaunt to St. Louis, Bobby Carpenter is set to rejoin Bill Parcells, the man who drafted him in 2005, in Miami.

The Dolphins signed Carpenter shortly after he was among the St. Louis Rams’ final cuts on Saturday night. He will be reunited with not only Parcells, but Jeff Ireland and Tony Sparano, not to mention a large group of players who spent time with Carpenter while in Dallas.

Alex Barron, who was acquired in the trade that sent Carpenter to St. Louis, made the final cuts for Dallas, which means that the deal was more or less a win for the Cowboys.  Like Carpenter, Barron was a first round pick in 2005 who never really played up to predraft expectations.

Carpenter notched 96 tackles and three and a half sacks over 58 games with Dallas.
