Barber Detained by Police in Los Angeles

Of all the Dallas Cowboys we could imagine being featured on TMZ.com, the quiet and reserved Marion Barber ranks among the least probable; but alas, the website reported this morning that the Cowboys running back was detained by police in Los Angeles on Monday morning for allegedly disturbing the peace.

Barber was neither arrested nor cited after police were called by hotel security, but he did reportedly agree to check out of the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. TMZ has since obtained video of Barber leaving the hotel with his luggage.

The video, and the situation itself, aren’t really interesting in any way, but we can’t imagine that Barber’s uncertain future with the team--many have wondered whether he’ll be around next season--will be helped by such an incident, regardless of the minor nature of his run-in with the law.
