Anthony Spencer Suffers Setback

Defensive end Anthony Spencer suffered a setback last week and was held out of the Rams game

It might be a little while before we see defensive end Anthony Spencer return to the field.

Spencer actually played in the Week Two loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City--his season debut after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery back in July--but suffered a setback during a workout last week. He missed practice on both Wednesday and Friday, and was limited on Thursday.

After a rough week, his absence from the Rams game didn’t come as a surprise for Dallas coaches.

“We thought during the week it didn’t look like he’d be able to go this week,” defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin said, per the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We didn’t know for sure, but he had another little setback. We’re sure [eager] to get him in there.”
