A Running Back For The Cowboys In the Second Round

The Cowboys may want to use a high draft pick on a running back. I don’t see them using the fourth overall pick on Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliot.

Now, I think the kid will be a big time player in the NFL but all signs point to Jerry Jones using the first round pick to fix his defense.

Devontae Booker is a name Cowboys fans should get to know. He played for Utah last year.

One drawback is he needed knee surgery for a torn meniscus back in November and it ended his season with the Utes. Booker tallied 1,261 yards and 10 scores. In 2014, he lit up the Pac-12 with 1,512 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Booker is a workhorse type of back. He can catch the football and that is why I ranked him over Alabama’s Heisman Trophy winner, Derrick Henry.

Booker will be 24 years old when he starts his NFL career.

Dallas will have to feel good about his medicals but Booker could be the guy in round number two.
