75th Cotton Bowl Will Hit JerryWorld in Prime Time

The Cotton Bowl has extended its TV contract with Fox Sports through 2014, an agreement that puts the 75th anniversary game in prime time after the 2010 season.

Cotton Bowl president Rick Baker said there's no better way to mark the anniversary than having the game showcased in prime time. The 75th Cotton Bowl will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011.

The game has moved from its namesake stadium to the new Cowboys Stadium. The first Cotton Bowl in the $1.15 billion home of the Dallas Cowboys will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2.

Fox has been televising the Cotton Bowl since 1999.

The Cotton Bowl, which matches teams from the Big 12 and Southeastern Conference, is sponsored by AT&T.
