Lone Star Film Festival Grabbing Headlines, Lacking Audiences

For the 2nd annual Lone Star Film Festival, the press has taken notice of the great films -- and lack of audience.

The 2nd annual Lone Star Film Festival has been getting attention from a number of sources; Star-Telegram, Pegasus News, us, and other local blogs, but they've been missing one big source --- audiences.

Christopher Kelly of Star-Telegram's DFW.com said it best in his story: "Without some bodies in those seats, this festival is going to have trouble making it to a third year."

We've got to echo Christopher's call to action: Get out to the festival, which runs through Sunday the 16th.

There's plenty to see this weekend, with highlight films "One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur" and anime "Vexille" tonight and closing night film "Last Chance Harvey" with Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, and James Brolin.

The complete schedule (find it here) also gives plenty of opportunity to see the short film collections and presentations on many industry topics.

If anything, their well-produced website knows how to get you started and organized to visit the festival. Take a look around and plan your trip to Fort Worth.
