Spring Trends: Boyfriend Knows Best

The "boyfriend" trend is still very strong for Spring 2011. Slouchy pants and jackets in men's wear shapes and fabrics are a part of nearly every designer collection -- some of our favorites were from Narciso Rodriguez. We love the neutral and jewel-tone shades in blazers and cardis that are replacing greys and blacks that dominated Fall's unisex trend.

Why We Adore It:
We've always disagreed with the famous saying, "If it's comfortable, it's not chic," and Spring's "boyfriend" looks go a long way toward debunking that statement. Relaxed yet still polished is one of our favorite fashion "do's."

How To Wear It:
Pick one piece that flaunts its men's wear roots and keep the rest tailored and feminine. That means distressed, slouhy denim rolled at the hem paired with a high heel or wedge and a top with a sexy shape or girly, floral print. Or, rock an oversized blazer with a super-skinny jean and lots of glammed up accessories.
