Celebrate National Museum Day with NBC 5 at Day in the District Saturday, September 26 from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. This is your chance to experience 10 amazing museums, and various performances all for free!

Fort Worth is a city where culture and heritage thrive together. Known for its legendary western roots, this city embraces the arts and is home to some of the most beautifully designed museums in the world, with outstanding collections and a vibrant performing arts scene.

Fort  Worth’s Cultural  District  is  home  to  many  acclaimed  museums  and  cherished  community  organizations.  These institutions are happy to announce the tenth annual 
Day  in  the  District,  a  celebration  of  the  rich  and  diverse  cultural  offerings in  Fort  Worth,  with  exciting,  entertaining,  and  interactive  programming  and  performances.

The museums will offer FREE admission, and Fort Worth performing arts organizations, coordinated by the Arts Council, will offer FREE performances in and around the district (schedule to be announced). Outdoor performances and events will entice visitors out among the landscaped grounds. Visitors can park their cars and enjoy events and venues all day, as the district is pedestrian friendly, with a free bus circulator.
