Black History Month: Spotlight on the Educator

In celebration of Black History Month, the Tarrant County Black Historical and Genealogical Society will share the history of the Fort Worth schools that black students attended from the 1800’s to the present in Fort Worth and other areas of Tarrant County.

Photos, newspaper articles and other research material will be on display during the month of February with a special focus on the vital role of the educator at the Lenora Rolla Heritage Center Museum located at 1020 E. Humbolt, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.
 
As the role of the educator is held in high esteem, a special appreciation reception will be held in their honor on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Lenora Rolla Heritage Center Museum from noon until 4 p.m.
