NBC 5 and Amphibian Stage Productions invite you to experience the production of She-Wolf, beginning October 18 through November 10, at the Amphibian Stage in Fort Worth.
The Amphibian Stage caps their 20th Anniversary season with their final main-stage production of 2019, She-Wolf. In a time when women rarely held power, Margaret of Anjou fiercely defended her husband’s claim to the English throne, even commanding armies during a bloody civil war. Her rise and fall inspired Shakespeare to include her in four plays, giving her more lines than any other woman in his works. Playwrights Stephan Wolfert (best known to Amphibian audiences for 2018's Cry Havoc!) and Dawn Stern spotlight Margaret’s story by adapting her scenes from Shakespeare in this world-premiere production spotlighting the way Margaret earned the nickname “The She-Wolf of France.” Metroplex audiences will get an exclusive first glimpse of this show before it opens off-Broadway in 2019.
