The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, Hair

Join NBC 5 and the Dallas Theater Center as they present the American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, Hair. Performances begin on Saturday, September 23 through Sunday, October 22 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre Potter Rose Performance Hall.

50 years after its premiere, Hair continues to assault the status quo, while shining a bright light on the power of love over hate, peace over war, freedom over repression, and hope over despair. At once emblematic of its era and relevant for a new generation of audiences today, the story follows a group of young people as they navigate their relationships with their country and with each other. Overflowing with free love, buzzing with youthful energy, and pulsing with iconic rock anthems, Dallas Theater Center’s Hair brings the Age of Aquarius into the twenty-first century.

To allow the audience to select their preferred seating option, Hair is General Admission by price area with “Area 1” seats as close to the action as possible and “Area 4” seats, the farthest seats no more than 55 feet from the story. Audience members are encouraged to enter the Wyly Theatre 30 minutes before the performance to experience a one-of-a-kind, never duplicated “happening” as a part of the pre-show experience.
