Sickle Cell Disease Education Speaker Series

Friday, September 9

NBC 5 and the UT Southwestern Medical Center invite health professionals to the 2nd Annual Sickle Cell Disease Education Speaker Series on Friday, September 9, at CityPlace in Dallas.

Sickle cell disease is the most common blood disorder in the world and can occur in anyone. The care of persons with sickle cell disease has lagged behind medical care, because there are not enough expert physicians and scientists studying and treating sickle cell disease.

UT Southwestern has been an international leader in sickle cell disease research for over 30 years and uses a multidisciplinary approach in diagnosing and treating sickle cell disease to provide individualized treatment. Medical professionals who attend the event will gain a greater insight in seeking the appropriate management and ongoing care of patients with the disease.

For more information about the event, contact the UTSW Office of Continuing Medical Education at 214-648-3138.

Registration for the program is required; however, admission is complimentary.  Please register at: https://cme.utsouthwestern.edu/rp1609b.
