LEGO® Travel Adventure Exhibit

What Will You Build at the CR Smith Museum?

NBC 5 and the American Airlines CR Smith Museum invite you to come out to LEGO® Travel Adventure starting May 25th. This exciting new exhibit invites children and their families to use LEGO® bricks to create their own imaginary dream machines. Build a machine that flies, drives, floats or all three. “What will you build?”

NBC 5 is committed to encouraging students to get excited about and embrace STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. What better way to do this than by visiting a hands-on exhibit to build an imaginary machine that may inspire a child to one day build that very machine -- creation through imagination!

Age-appropriate build tables featuring parts and pieces from popular LEGO sets are available in the exhibit. The goal is to let children think creatively, plan, and build vehicles to move through all kinds of terrain such as, mountains, oceans, jungles, deserts, and more. Dioramas featuring Florida, Hawaii, Paris, and San Francisco will help serve as inspiration for creating vehicles with wheels, wings, masts, and more.

LEGO Travel Adventure features creations by LEGO Master Builders including recreations of the driving of the Gold Spike in the Transcontinental Railroad, the building of the first Model T, the Wright Brothers flight at Kitty Hawk, and an ocean liner. Children can also have their photo taken behind the wheel of a kid-size racecar created entirely out of LEGO® DUPLO® bricks.
