Join NBC 5 and ACH Child and Family Services for a special Silver Tea celebrating ACH’s 100th anniversary of serving North Texas. The come-and-go event will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at ACH’s Summit Campus, 1424 Summit Ave.
The Silver Tea has a rich history. Supporters held the first tea in 1927 to benefit All Church Home for children, the organization now known as ACH. This year’s tea will commemorate ACH’s heritage and highlight current programs designed to protect children and preserve families. Services include free counseling, parenting classes, an emergency shelter for teens, transitional living for young adults and residential behavioral care.

“ACH has played an important role in our community over the last century, providing a safety net for those in need,” says Dr. Wayne Carson, CEO of ACH Child and Family Services. “Over time, we have expanded and adapted our programs, but we have remained focused on improving lives and building better futures for North Texans—and the need for ACH continues to grow.”
In 2014, Tarrant County had more than 6,000 reported cases of child abuse or neglect, the most in the state. Up to 2,000 youth are homeless or without a safe place to live at any given time.
Last year, ACH delivered services to more than 16,000 children and families.
