Canton is still without power after tornadoes tore through Van Zandt County Saturday evening, that means storm victims may have no way to communicate if their cell phones need charging.

Verizon announced Monday it would be set up in the parking lot of Canton Independent School District to offer tornado victims free charging, free calls and free WiFi.

Verizon said it doesn't matter which carrier citizens have.

The free Verizon service is being offered until it gets dark Monday. Verizon officials said representatives will be in Canton over the next few days to help with communication.
