Tornado Damage in Oklahoma

At least five tornadoes have been reported sweeping through Oklahoma Wednesday.

The threat of severe weather will continue into the night, but it has already caused damage, knocking down structures and spreading debris.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for more than two dozen counties Wednesday afternoon, and it remains in effect until 9 p.m.

A tornado emergency has been issued for the nearby towns of Newcastle and Bridge Creek, meaning there is the possibility of a large tornado that could bring significant damage and injury.

Aside from tornadoes, there is also the threat of large hail in the area.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue through the weekend.
