Utility officials say storms in Texas have left more than 17,000 homes and businesses without electricity.
Crews from Dallas-based Oncor Electric worked Tuesday to restore power in a stretch as far north as Wichita Falls, south to Waco and west to Midland-Odessa.
As of 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oncor reported more than 13,300 customers without service, mainly in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, following fast-moving storms Monday night.
Authorities say some homes in the Brownwood area suffered roof damage, along with downed trees and power lines.
No injuries were immediately reported.
