Storm System Brings Rain to North Texas

A storm system will bring rain to North Texas on Monday.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area will have a 50 percent chance of showers after midnight and a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon on Monday according to NBCDFW meteorologist Grant Johnston.

Johnston says the rain will be gone by midday with sunshine returning and highs in the low 70s with winds southwest 15 to 30 mph. The warm windy conditions will contribute to a high wildfire danger Monday.

Tuesday will be chilly with temperatures in the 50s followed by a warm up through the rest of the week.
