A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for all of North Texas as storms pushed into the Metroplex Wednesday afternoon.

A strong line of showers and thunderstorms pushed through the region late Wednesday afternoon and into early Thursday morning, bringing rain and high winds. Nickel-sized hail fell near Bridgeport and Decatur, but the storms weakened as they moved into the Metroplex, where no severe weather was reported.

The severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

NBC DFW Meteorologist Samantha Davies expects a high of 62 on Thursday with gusty winds up to 30 mph. Temperatures are expected to warm to 70 on Friday and then 75 on Saturday.
