Several Districts Closed Friday

Several school districts have already made the decision to cancel classes Friday.

The major independent school districts of Arlington, Birdville, Carroll, Dallas, Denton, Frisco, Grapevine-, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Keller, Lewisville, McKinney, Plano and Northwest decided Thursday afternoon to cancel Friday classes.

Texas Woman's University, the University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas at Dallas are also closed.

Fort Worth ISD was already closed Friday for Stock Show day and professional development scheduled for Friday is canceled, the district's central office will open at 10 a.m. for employees.

NBCDFW showed more than 400 closings or delays as of 6:30 p.m.
