Triple-Digit Heat Continues

Heat Advisory Through Monday

There is expected to be another day of triple digit temperatures across North Texas on Monday.

The National Weather Service extended the heat advisory for the majority of North Texas through Monday at 9 p.m.

The high at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, where all records are kept for the area, hit 102 degrees Sunday, not quite enough to break the record of 105 in 1948.

On Monday, the forecasted high is 104.

So far, DFW Airport's thermometer has hit at least 100 degrees 55 times this summer, putting North Texas in third for the most 100 degree days in a year.  We're expected to climb into a tie for the No. 2 spot Monday afternoon.
