The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for northwestern Tarrant County until 11:30 a.m.

Just after 8:30 a.m., heavy rain was detected falling from a stationary storm near Azle.  The storm was expected to drop 1-inch of rain per hour.

The NWS said 2-3 inches had already fallen by 8:30 a.m. and that the heavy rains may result in flooding of small creeks, streams, streets, underpasses and other poor drainage locations.

As of 9 a.m., the storms continue to very slowly move to the north and east along to and west of Interstate 35W into Oklahoma.
