Dust and high winds caused many flights in the area to be canceled at DFW Airport on Sunday.

American Eagle canceled 82 flights into or out of DFW Airport and American Airlines cancelled 15.

Both airlines said the cancelations were due to high winds and dust bowl like conditions in Texas, according to an American Airlines spokeswoman.

A number of the cities that had flights cancelled were in Texas: Lubbock, Amarillo, El Paso, Corpus Christi, Houston, Midland.

Other non-Texas cities included, but not limited to Charleston, SC; Augusta, GA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Des Moines, IA; Little Rock, AR; Mobile, AL; Milwaukee, WI; Madison, WI; Springfield, MO
