Denton Equestrian Facility Offers Shelter for Flooded Horses

A Denton equestrian facility is offering help for horse owners after notice of flooding issues downstream from Lake Ray Roberts.

Manager Crystal Allcorn said as a horse owner herself, she wanted to offer people affected by the floods a safe place for their horses; especially those affected by the water releases at Lake Ray Roberts..

The Diamond T Arena Facebook page included a map with the area of concern.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

So far Allcorn said horses have come and gone as people have had their own individual flood concerns. She said with events coming this weekend some horses may have to stay in the outdoor stables, but that the arena will be happy to offer the free service to as many as they can until the waters subside.
