Dallas and Fort Worth Street Crews Plan for Winter Weather

    Dallas streets dept loading sand-salt mixture on trucks and hitting the streets in 12-hr shifts until the weather clears.

    The following winter weather plans will be going into effect in Dallas and Fort Worth.

    Dallas

    Dallas Street Services crews will begin treating the roads at 6 p.m. Sunday with a salt and sand mix.

    Dallas Street Services have said it will be Ice Force Level 1. The worst possible level is 3. There will  be trucks and staff covering designated routes, bridges and overpasses, and critical locations like hospital entrances, elevated surfaces, police and fire departments, and DART bus routes.

    Approximately 35 trucks and 100 staff memebers will be working Sunday night. They will be on 12 hour shifts beginning at 6 p.m.

    Fort Worth

    Fort Worth Street Services crews will be treating the roads beginning early Sunday evening. Service members will also be around the Fort Worth area.
