The city of Grapevine's Parks and Recreation department announced it closed two boat ramps because of low water levels.

The Meadowmere and Scott's Landing boat ramps were shut down as the lake levels drop because of a lack of rain.

Last week, the city of Arlington closed boat ramps around Lake Arlington because of low water levels.

Despite a brief shower overnight Thursday, no significant rain has fallen in North Texas since Oct. 13.
