An Irving company created a way to turn talk into text.

ATX Technologies developed a way to make driving less dangerous by taking a person's voice and converted it into a text message.

"The challenge is keeping it safe while you're driving. And as we all know, texting while you're driving is very dangerous, " said ATX Technologies executive Tom Schauk.

It is called a connected car. The driver can simply say their text without having to type it. The system does have its shortcomings, for example, if someone texts you, you will not get their message in a voice.
