Time to Decide on a Tollway Name

advertisement

The North Texas Tollway Authority is going public with its plan to rename the 121 Tollway.

The NTTA board narrowed its list to three finalists: Interurban Tollway, Sam Rayburn Tollway or 121 Tollway.

The Sam Rayburn Tollway is in honor of the late congressman from Texas who was the longest-serving Speaker of the House of the Representatives from 1940 through 1961.

The Interurban Tollway is in honor of the early 20th century passenger rail system that connected Fort Worth, Dallas and many other area cities.

You can get more information and comment on the names here.

Public comment is open through March 6.
